What is the Society of St Vincent de Paul?

Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St Vincent de Paul, a Catholic lay organization, leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person services to the needy and suffering in the tradition of its founder, Blessed Frederic Ozanam, and patron, St Vincent de Paul.

Although affiliated with the Catholic Church, the Society of St Vincent de Paul helps anyone in need regardless of their race, religion, age, or background. Through our hands-on charitable work, we’ve been a vital part of the community, offering food assistance, emergency support, and disaster relief services to help enhance the lives of the less fortunate in our region.

The Society of St Vincent de Paul was founded in 1833. The St Louis Conference of SVdP was established in 2003. SVdP has a 501(c)(3) designation from the Internal Revenue Service. All donations are tax-deductible.

The St Louis Conference of St Vincent de Paul consists of a Food Pantry, Assistance Center and Thrift Store located at 909 HWY 124, Winnie, Texas. Funds raised from the sale of items in the Thrift Store, together with donations, grants, and other fundraising, support the Food Pantry and Assistance Center.

What We Can Do For You?
